San Francisco Wrap Up

Greetings!

David and I had a wonderful time playing GIANT Word Winder and GIANT Math Winder in some of the San Francisco Public Libraries!

We visited SIX library branches in four days, including the Main Branch. We were able to work with large groups of children, and also had time to intimately work with a handful of library patrons ages 3 to 63. That’s what so great about GIANT Word Winder and GIANT Math Winder. EVERYONE can play in some way and have fun! GIANT Word Winder is an experience that we heard touted, “My favorite thing I’ve ever done!” One young lady even said that she learned more playing GIANT Math Winder than she did all year in her math class. That’s the first time I had heard those kinds of comments, and maybe they are a little exaggerated  — these are kids after all — but hearing that just make us believe in GIANT Word Winder so much. We know that it will make a difference in the lives of children that get to play and experience it.

In addition to playing GIANT Word Winder and GIANT Math Winder with the patrons of San Francisco Public Libraries, we got to play with the LIBRARIANS! This was SO fun! We love playing with adults just as much as children and we sometimes forget how fun it can be! Because the San Francisco Pubic Library purchased a number of GIANT Word Winder, GIANT Math Winder, and GIANT Word Winder – Early Learner Edition game sets, we wanted to make sure that librarians knew how to play the game but also TEACH the game! That’s where those Tips & Strategies, I posted last week come in handy!

We have to thank our hosts at the San Francisco Public Library for their eagerness, generosity, and hospitality! You guys rock!

We have lots of great photos and videos on our Facebook page and invite you to view them there!

Enjoy, and keep playing!

Claire
